"RIVER".... An obstacle cannot stop the flow of the RIVER. It will always redirect; finding the path of least resistance from source to outlet."

The presentation of Ballet Creole’s Spring Season serves as a vehicle for the company’s vision, to create a distinct voice for Canadian dance artists of colour and to share culturally inspired dance art with Canadian communities. Two aesthetically diverse dance pieces will be featured: Patrick Parson will complete "Trouchka", a work that began in May 2009 as part of a performance of Petrouchka with the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra. Associate choreographer Gabby Kamino will present the Canadian premiere of "Fallen Angels", a three-part allegorical piece which depicts angels that have “fallen,” or rather angels that have chosen to live as humans. The programme will exemplify the diversity and athleticism of Ballet Creole's dancers and continues to communicate their motto: “diversity in harmony creates a new energy.”
