Kambule Fest Arts in the Parks

Kambule Fest  Arts in the Parks

From the Kikongo language of the Congo, meaning Street Procession, Kambule pays homage to our African Ancestors, our forefathers, who marked the end of slavery by taking banned cultural expressions out of hiding and onto the streets.  The Kambule is a powerful manifestation of culture, spirituality, beauty, royalty, and pride. This summer Ballet Creole is partnering with Arts in the Parks to bring Kambule across Toronto.

Kambule Fest will feature performances by some of Canada's finest artists including TDot Batu, Hummingbird Tassa Group, New Dimension Steel Orchestra, and Ballet Creole. Special appearance by Wheel Chair Dance!. Enjoy the musical parade, performances, and dance flash mobs in celebration of Canada's 150th anniversary. Great fun for the family!
