Cry Freedom - May 11-13, 2018

In celebration of Canada 150, this dance/drama commemorates the story of Chloe Cooley, an enslaved woman in Upper Canada whose struggles in 1793 served as the catalyst for the passing of the first legislation in the British colonies to restrict the slave trade, setting the stage for the Underground Railroad.  Enjoy a dynamic multimedia performance expressing Canadian Black History through the arts! Including LIVE African drumming by MASTER DRUMMER Amadou Kienou and the SOULFUL SINGING of Denise Cavalier!

COME EARLY to visit the Historical Exhibit and the Pop-up Market featuring local artisans in the theatre lobbies
